Pancake breakfast back in Saskatoon for 23rd year

SASKATOON – The annual charity pancake breakfast is back at the Great Western Brewing Company in Saskatoon.

Every year, the breakfast raises money for a charity of choice. This year, proceeds will go to STARS air ambulance.

Kim Goodwin, a STARS representative, says it costs around $5,700 to pick up one critical patient with the helicopter.

“We appreciate all the help we can get,” said Goodwin.

The breakfast was initially started for staff, but grew to be a Saskatoon favorite.

PotashCorp will match every dollar up to $20,000.

Last year, the event raised nearly $36,000 for Epilepsy Saskatoon.

The breakfast costs five dollars and is held at 519 2nd Ave. North from 7 to 10 a.m. until Friday.
