Rochdale Crossing Co-Op gets new look

Rochdale Crossing in northwest Regina is the latest mall to get a facelift.

The official grand opening of Sherwood Co-Op took place this weekend. Shoppers will find an expanded marketplace, which includes a salad bar, bakery and deli department.

Allen Merritt, the GM of the Rochdale Crossing Co-Op, said he travelled across North America to get ideas for the expansion.

“In preparing for this renovation we toured the United States and across Canada looking for the most innovative new technologies as far as equipment and display techniques. We’re really trying to create a marketplace atmosphere.”

Merritt said the store was last upgraded in 2000.
