Telus says it will transform the entire 7th Avenue block into “one of the most technologically innovative and environmentally-friendly sites” in North America and will be designed to a LEED Platinum standard.
“Our 750,000 square foot building will offer a much-needed blend of retail and commercial space, and provide 341 residential rental units,” says the president and CEO of Telus, Darren Entwhistle.
Construction is expected to start in July of next year and should wrap up in 2017.
Telus says the project will create hundreds of jobs.
Once completed, the tower will be about 20 metres shorter than The Bow tower.
