Vancouver mayor working to extend restaurant patio hours in the city

Vancouver’s mayor says he is working to extend restaurant patio hours in the city, which means you could enjoy a beverage well past 11 p.m.

Gregor Robertson also wants to expand patio space to make better use of sidewalks and streets in downtown Vancouver.

The city currently has 577 patios and Robertson feels it’s important to open that space up in late-night areas for public enjoyment.

The downtown Vancouver business improvement association is already on-board with the proposal.

The idea will be brought in front of council in the near future.
