A computer error is causing headaches for more than 8,000 students in Saskatchewan who were scheduled to receive April student loan payments, the government has confirmed.
The government of Saskatchewan sent out a news release late Monday informing students of a computer glitch, causing them to not receive the scheduled payment.
The money was supposed to be received April 1st, but the government says students will instead receive their loans by Tuesday.
The government has since notified all banks of the error and will reimburse students for any late charges.
Students with questions are being asked to call 1-800-597-8278.
