The air ambulance landing at Harrison Lake. Danielle Pukalo

A three year-old boy had to be airlifted to hospital Saturday afternoon after an ATV accident near Harrison Lake.

Cpl. Dwayne Farlin with the Agassiz RCMP said officers were called out to the accident on the East Harrison Forest Service Road at about 12:20 p.m.

A woman was driving an ATV with the three-year-old boy and the quad flipped over.

Farlin said it looks like it was driver error.

The little boy was airlifted to hospital, and the woman was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Farlin said both appear to be fine, but the little boy has a large cut on his head.

RCMP later confirmed both were wearing helmets at the time.
