Twenty-four year old Jose Neto was walking downtown with his girlfriend, when he was shot in the face. The couple had just finished having dinner in China town when they happened to walk by a park where a group of people started fighting. A man pulled out a gun and shot, the bullet missing the intended target and hitting Neto. The incident permanently blinded him.
Friday afternoon Jose Neto addressed the media, expressing incredible optimism adding that Canadians are like angels. He's still coming to terms with what's happened to him, describing what he went through the night he was shot.
