TORONTO – Electricity is slowly being restored after a number of communities across Toronto were reported without power Tuesday morning due to outages.
Toronto Hydro is reporting several neighbourhoods are without electricity including The Beach, East York, Scarborough, North York.
The lights were also out in the downtown core for over an hour but power was fully restored around 9:25 a.m.

There’s no indication yet from officials on what caused the outages.
Toronto Hydro is asking anyone who wishes to report a service disruption to call 416-542-8000.
Ontario’s Hydro One reported about 9,000 customers without power in eastern Ontario Monday night.
Not all of those outages were related to the storms. However, crews fanned out to deal with weather-related damage which included tree branches that had downed power lines.
