There was only one way down for a group of brave Manitobans suspended 170 feet from the top of a downtown Winnipeg tower this afternoon.
It was the first step over the edge that was the most difficult for Global’s Lindsay Warner as she scaled 17 storys down the side of the Royal Bank building on Portage avenue.
She along with 80 other volunteers from across the province spent the afternoon rappelling down the side of the building.
It’s part of a fundraising effort for easter seals Mantioba and the society for Manitobans with disabilities foundation.
For many, it was just a matter of overcoming nerves for the one of a kind charity fundraiser.
