Man charged in Roblin homicide: Manitoba RCMP

Police have laid manslaughter charges in connection with a homicide in Roblin, Man.

RCMP were called to the report of an unresponsive man in the small community about 400 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg, around 5 a.m. Feb. 22.

When police arrived, they found a 35-year-old man from Roblin unconscious and suffering serious injuries, RCMP say.

He was taken to hospital, where he later died, police say.

Following an investigation by major crimes and forensic investigators, police announced charges Monday.

Joshua Edward Britton, 26, of Roblin, has been charged with manslaughter.

He is scheduled to appear in Dauphin Provincial Court Feb. 24.
