A financial incentive is being offered to homeowners in Brandon, Manitoba who are seeking protection from spring flooding.
The city and the province will cover 60 per cent of the cost of installing equipment to prevent basement flooding, to a maximum of three-thousand dollars per home.
The money will cover sump pumps and sewer backwater valves.
A similar program was announced recently for homeowners in Winnipeg.
