Flu clinics open across Alberta

Six clinics have been set up across Calgary including Avenida Village, Brentwood Village Mall, EMS Whitehorn, the Richmond Road Diagnostic Treatment Centre, South Calgary and Stampede Park.

All Albertans six months and older are eligible for the free vaccine.

This year, a single influenza shot provides protection against both seasonal influenza and H1N1.

Alberta Health Services’ medical officer of health, Dr. Marcia Johnson, is scheduled to speak about this year’s immunization program today.
