Around noon last Friday, Alberta Fish and Wildlife Management raided a home in the Huntington Hills complex on the corner of Whitemud Drive and Calgary Trail.
Twelve live Alberta Prairie Rattlesnakes were seized from the home.
Two Edmonton residents have been charged with six wildlife-related charges. They include possession of wildlife for the purpose of trafficking, unlawful possession of wildlife, and unlawful sale of wildlife.
Since 1997, it has been illegal to kill, possess, buy or sell rattlesnakes in Alberta.
The two charged individuals will appear in court October 21.
The twelve snakes were released into the wild near Lethbridge on Tuesday.
