Police in Halifax are not treating the case of a missing woman as a homicide.

29-year old Nadine Anne Taylor has not been seen since July 28.

Her boyfriend said that the left her apartment in Fairview to make a phone call and never returned.

Taylor was a sex trade worker in the Halifax area.

Police questioned a suspect earlier this week in connection with her disappearance, but have not released the suspect’s name.

“It did involve an inmate from the Central Nova Scotia facility, however all we’ve said about that interview is that it was involving one of our on-going files…we are not connecting it with this investigation,” says Halifax police officer Brian Palmeter.

Earlier this month police searched the Dartmouth home of Steven Elliot Laffin.

Officials will not confirm if the search at Laffin’s house is connected to Taylor’s disappearance.

Laffin is currently in jail facing charges of kidnapping, forcible confinement, and aggravated assault. Police were alerted to this case after a Halifax prostitute escaped from the trunk of a car in Spryfield.
