Two students hurt in Airdrie school bus crash

AIRDRIE – Two children had to be taken to hospital on Tuesday, after the school bus they were riding in was struck by a truck.

The bus was eastbound on Symon’s Valley Road when it turned left onto the path of a westbound welding truck.

Two children were rushed to the Alberta Chidlren’s Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.

The school bus driver, who works for First Student Canada, has been charged with making an unsafe left turn.

RCMP say neither alcohol or speed are considered factors in the crash.
