Edmonton Catholic to open three new schools

Three new Edmonton schools are getting ready for their first students.

Edmonton Catholic Schools is opening the doors to three new, state of the art schools. They feature innovative technology and eco-friendly initiatives, but it’s not just the hardware inside that’s the most appealing part to educators.

"I think for us the excitement lies with the fact that we’re going to be meeting new students, new parents, we have our new staff that’s coming together for the first time." Edmonton Catholic Schools Co-Principal Marie Whelan said on Wednesday. "We’re going to be creating new traditions, and creating a culture in this school that I think will be wonderful for the children.I think that’s the excitement."

Monsignor Fee Otterson will be opening in Rutherford, Monsignor William Irwin in Terwillegar Towne, and Sister Annata Brockman in the Hamptons. School begins Wednesday, September first.
