Peel Police have made another arrest in the murder of 17-year-old Adrian Ducas during a basketball game at the Malton Community Centre earlier this month.
Courtney Dawkins, 20, of Toronto, was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in a Brampton court on Thursday.
At about 8:30 p.m. on July 3, a group of men walked into the centre on Morning Star Drive as two basketball games were going on, Peel police say. They weren’t involved in the games and, somehow, in the midst of approximately 30 people there at the time, Mr. Ducas was shot and killed.
Police had previously arrested Kevaughn Tulloch, 20, and Maurice Raphael, 23, and charged them with first-degree murder.
A Canada-wide warrant continues to be out for Christopher Raphael, who is also wanted for murder.
Mr. Ducas’s death was Peel Region’s 4th homicide this year.
