The BC Coroners Service has taken over an investigation after human remains were found in a home that burned to the ground in Hixon, B.C. Saturday afternoon.
Mounties said foul play is not suspected in the fire.
RCMP responded to reports of the residential blaze at around 3:30 p.m. in a rural area.

When they arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames.
RCMP said a man and a woman live in the house. While the woman was not home at the time of the fire and was located safe, the man is still unaccounted for.
Investigators are not sure if he was at home at the time of the fire, but searches for him have been unsuccessful.
Mounties said the remains of the home cannot be searched until Monday because the scene is still hot.
The Office of the Fire Commissioner is expected to investigate the cause of the blaze and search the rubble.
