Lowe’s has announced it will close an additional 34 stores across six provinces.
The closures, which are set for early next year, include 26 Rona locations, six Lowe’s locations and two Reno-Depots.
This adds to a list of closures announced in November 2018. The company confirmed the stores will have clearance sales on Nov. 21.
Stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia will be affected.
The company cites underperformance for closing the stores, adding that it is a “necessary step” to restructure the business to invest in and bolster existing stores and capabilities.
