Police investigating after shooting in Calgary’s Temple neighbourhood

Calgary police are searching for a suspect after multiple shots were fired in the Temple neighbourhood on Wednesday.

Police said they received a call about shots fired near Templevale Drive and Templevale Road N.E. at 9 p.m.

Officers said there was property damage in the area related to the shooting but nobody was injured.

A nearby road was blocked off but police couldn’t confirm which one. People were being asked to stay away from the scene.

Richard Nakhle said this is the first time that something like this has happened in the 10 years he has lived in the area.

Nakhle said a vehicle sped off after shots were fired, adding it sounded like an automatic weapon.

“The truck was here squealing going down the street,” he said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or contact Crime Stoppers.
