KAMLOOPS, B.C. – Zane Franklin had two goals and two assists as the Kamloops Blazers downed the Medicine Hat Tigers 7-3 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Ryan Hughes and Connor Zary added two goals apiece while Kyrell Sopotyk also scored for the Blazers (12-6-0).

Jonathan Brinkman, James Hamblin and Tyler Preziuso replied for the Tigers (12-6-1).

Dylan Garand turned aside 37 shots for Kamloops. Garin Bjorklund combined with Mads Sogaard for 33 saves for Medicine Hat.

The Blazers went 2 for 3 on the power play while the Tigers went 1 for 4 with the man advantage.

OIL KINGS 4 HITMEN 2

EDMONTON — Josh Williams scored twice as the Oil Kings doubled up Calgary.

Ethan Cap and Jake Neighbours also scored for Edmonton (13-2-4), which got 13 saves from Todd Scott.

Mark Kastelic and Jonas Peterek had goals for the Hitmen (9-6-2). Brayden Peters stopped 35 shots in defeat.

AMERICANS 3 HURRICANES 2

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. — Sasha Mutala notched the game winning goal as the Tri-City Americans defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 3-2.

Kyle Olson and Edge Lambert also scored for the Americans (10-6-1) while D-Jay Jerome and Alex Cotton scored for the Hurricanes (13-5-3).

Talyn Boyko turned away 47 shots for Tri-City and Carl Tetachuk combined with Bryan Thomson for 13 saves for Lethbridge.

WARRIORS 3 BRONCOS 1

MOOSE JAW, Sask. — Libor Zabransky supplied the game winning power play goal as the Moose Jaw Warriors beat the Swift Current Broncos 3-1.

Brayden Tracey and Owen Hardy also scored for the Warriors (9-7-1) while Chase Lacombe scored for the Broncos (3-11-3).

WINTERHAWKS 2 GIANTS 1 (SO)

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Winterhawks beat the Vancouver Giants 2-1 in a shoot out.

Jack O’Brien scored for the Winterhawks (11-5-1) in regulation and Justin Sourdif did the same for the Giants (10-8-2).

Jaydon Dureau, Cross Hanas and Mason Mannek scored in the shootout for Portland while Bowen Byram and Tristen Nielsen scored in the shootout for Vancouver.

Joel Hofer blocked 30 shots for Portland and Trent Miner stopped 27 for Vancouver.

REBELS 3 RAIDERS 2

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Dallon Melin scored the game winning goal as the Red Deer Rebels edged the Prince Albert Raiders 3-2.

Chris Douglas and Dawson Barteaux also scored for the Rebels (6-11-2) while Aliaksei Protas and Brayden Watts scored for the Raiders (13-4-3).

Ethan Anders kicked out 31 shots for Red Deer and Carter Serhyenko stopped 24 shots for Prince Albert.

ROYALS 2 COUGARS 1

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Sean Gulka chipped in the game winning goal as the Victoria Royals downed the Prince George Cougars 2-1.

Kaid Oliver also scored for the Royals (9-7-1) and Josh Maser scored for the Cougars (4-13-2).

Shane Farkas turned aside 15 shots for Victoria and Taylor Gauthier stopped 16 shots for Prince George.

BLADES 4 WHEAT KINGS 2

SASKATOON — Nolan Kneen had the game winning goal for the Saskatoon Blades in their 4-2 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings 4-2.

Majid Kaddoura, Cyle McNabb and Kyle Crnkovic also scored for the Blades (11-7-2) while Jonny Hooker and Ty Thorpe scored for the Wheat Kings (8-12-0).

SILVERTIPS 4 THUNDERBIRDS 2

SEATTLE — Martin Fasko-Rudas got the game winning power play goal as the Everett Silvertips doubled the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-2.

Dawson Butt, Conrad Mitchell and Wyatte Wylie also scored for the Silvertips (13-4-0) while Tyrel Bauer and Matthew Rempe scored for the Thunderbirds (5-9-3).

CHIEFS 6 ROCKETS 1

SPOKANE, Wash. — Filip Král scored the game winning goal for the Spokane Chiefs as they downed the Kelowna Rockets 6-1.

Luke Toporowski, Jack Finley, Bobby Russell, Noah King and Bear Hughes also scored for the Chiefs (8-7-2) while Mark Liwiski scored for the Rockets (9-7-2).

Lukáš Parík stopped 22 shots for Spokane and Cole Schwebius kicked out 49 for Kelowna.

ICE 5 PATS 4

WINNIPEG — Isaac Johnson and Michael Milne both got two goals as the Winnipeg ICE beat the Regina Pats 5-4.

Nino Kinder also scored for the ICE (10-7-1), while Ty Kolle, Drew Englot and Carter Massier with two goals replied for the Pats (2-12-2).

Dean McNabb kicked out 30 shots for Winnipeg and Max Paddock turned aside 33 for Regina.
