Second video of raunchy dance routine emerges

The now notorious lap dance, performed by two Winnipeg teachers in front of students at a local high school last week, is getting even more attention today.

A second video of the raunchy routine has emerged.

The new video gives a more close up view of the sexually explicit dance and shows other adults, who may be teachers and staff members, in the back ground.

Mike Babinsky, a Winnipeg school trustee, wants to know why none of them step in to stop it.

"I would imagine every grade 9 and 12 student teacher was in that gym at that particular time, there had to be a minimum of 20 staff," said Babinsky.

The video continues to draw worldwide attention.

On Thursday evening, Babinsky appeared on CNN’s Headline News Netword in the United States from Global’s studios in Winnipeg to give his views on the incident. CJOB radio host Richard Cloutier was also part of the discussion on the American broadcast.

The two teachers, who are said to be in their 20s, have been suspended with pay.

Some say the video shows how boundaries between teachers and students can be crossed during social occasions.

"Teachers very often want to show the kids they are human beings… not just Mr. X and Miss Y, but they can be one of the guys or one of the girls," said Arthur Schafer, an ethics professor at the University of Manitoba.

The Winnipeg school board has launched an investigation into the incident and won’t comment until it’s complete.
