Call of plane going down prompts search

KELOWNA — A search is underway after reports of a small plane going down into Okanagan Lake, off Rotary Beach in Kelowna. Emergency officials received the call late Tuesday morning from a witness who believes the aircraft, possibly an ultralight, disappeared into the lake. The call prompted emergency officials to conduct an extensive search. The RCMP helicopter has also been dispatched to the scene. So far there has been no evidence of the plane and the search continues.
