Northumberland Regional High School student shares his story in an Anti-bullying video called "True Colours".

HALIFAX — Students at Northumberland Regional High School in Westville, Nova Scotia, filmed a video sharing their experiences with bullying.

Students held up their stories written on signs, some showing their faces and some not.

“I am a transgender male. But I’ve been called ‘it’ more times than I can count,” wrote one student.

“When I was 8 years old I was attacked by a group of students and curb stomped repeatedly because I dressed like a boy,” wrote another.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

The anti-bullying project was put together by the school’s Communications and Respect Committee.

The video, posted online three days ago, has nearly 3,000 views.
