Clifton chain reaction crash

KELOWNA — Traffic on Clifton Road south in Kelowna came to an abrupt halt following a four vehicle chain reaction crash early Monday morning.

The crash happened at Pinehurst Avenue where an SUV with three children on board, smashed into the back of another SUV. Tara Pilling says she was waiting to make a turn onto Pinehurst.

“The lady behind me said she had to stop quickly. So I’m thinking maybe she wasn’t paying attention or driving too fast. Clifton is really bad. People do drive really quickly,” says Pilling.

None of the drivers or occupants was injured. Damage to some of the vehicles was substantial.

The crash reduced Clifton to one lane for about an hour.
