Hedley’s cell tower sidetracked

HEDLEY — Residents in the small Similkameen community of Hedley have never had cell phone service and it looks like they’ll be without it for a while longer, in part because of the protests from their neighbours. The town was on the verge of getting some type of coverage but the cell provider killed those plans after opposition to the tower’s location. Despite the apparent split in the community, many are still fighting to get some sort of service. Eric Szeto reports.
