Elections BC has declared David Eby elected in Vancouver-Point Grey with a more than 1,000 vote margin over his challenger — and Premier — Christy Clark.

Clark will now be forced to hold a by-election in a BC Liberal riding where an elected MLA will have to give up their seat.

Meanwhile, Elections BC has started its count of nearly 180,000 absentee ballots from the provincial election, and a riding appears to have changed from the Liberals to the NDP.
