TORONTO — Canadian pop star Justin Bieber is under fire again for allegedly racing one of his sports cars near his Los Angeles home.

L.A. County Sheriff spokesman Steve Whitmore confirmed Tuesday police responded Sunday night to two calls from Bieber’s neighbours in his Calabasas gated community about someone driving a Ferrari at a “high rate of speed.”

Police were not able to speak to Bieber but are considering filing reckless driving charges.

Bieber, 19, has been investigated by police several times over the past year but has never been charged.

In March, police investigated the Ontario-born singer for allegedly threatening and spitting on a neighbour who confronted him about his driving.

Last year, police were called to a mall in Calabasas after a photographer alleged that Bieber threw a shoe at him during a confrontation.

In November, Ottawa police were called to Bieber’s concert at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa when a security guard at the venue alleged she was struck by a projectile from a Nerf gun Bieber was firing at his half-siblings.

The singer is currently on a break in his Believe tour, which resumes June 22 and stops in Ottawa on July 23 and Toronto on July 25 and 26.
