Roxboro fire destroys one home, damages another

CALGARY – One home has been destroyed, another badly damaged, after a fire in the downtown community of Roxboro overnight.

The Calgary Fire Department says it was called just after midnight Saturday morning to the 400 block of Roxboro Road SW.

Crews immediately called in a second alarm because flames were coming from the two homes.

A man in his 80’s was taken to hospital for minor smoke inhalation.
