Leeds OPP have charged a man in relation to a serious collision that left seven people injured south of Smiths Falls last week.
The crash happened shortly after 2 p.m. on Friday, south of Kellys Road in the Lombardy area of Rideau Lakes Township.
OPP said six vehicles were involved in the collision. Seven people were transported from the scene by paramedics, three of whom were transferred to an Ottawa hospital.
One person was reportedly in critical condition, while two were in serious condition. OPP said the others were being treated at a local hospital.
Police have not given an update on the conditions of those involved.
Several days later, on July 30, OPP charged 26-year-old Eeasai Abraham Uniuqsaraq of Bastard and South Burgess Township, with careless driving.
