TORONTO — Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have reportedly split up — only weeks after she brought him to her family’s home in Canada.
US Weekly reported the couple called it quits after more than three years of dating. The celeb mag quoted a source who said Dobrev and Somerhalder will “remain best friends.”
The couple spent Easter weekend with the Dobrev family in Toronto. They were snapped holding hands as they made their way through the city’s airport.

Dobrev, 24, was born in Bulgaria but raised in Toronto. She started her acting career on the popular Canadian drama Degrassi: The Next Generation.
She and Somerhalder, 34, co-star on The Vampire Diaries.
“I didn’t want to be dating one of my costars — my goal on the show was to be professional,” Dobrev told Seventeen last year. “But sometimes you can’t help who you have a connection with, and you can only fight it for so long.”
Neither star has publicly commented on the break-up but Somerhalder tweeted Thursday: “A THOUGHT FOR TODAY: People change and forget to tell each other. – Lillian Hellman, playwright (1905-1984).”
