Man wanted after weekend murder on Yellow Quill First Nation

ROSE VALLEY, Sask. – RCMP in Saskatchewan have issued an arrest warrant after a murder on the Yellow Quill First Nation over the weekend.

Mounties were called to the reserve located approximately 195 kilometres east of Saskatoon on Saturday to investigate a sudden death.

Dorinda Machiskinic, 38, from the First Nation, was found dead from a fatal gunshot at a residence.

Police have charged Charles Bighead, 61, with second degree murder and have issued a warrant for his arrest.

Bighead is 5’10”, around 225 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen on Thursday driving a red Chevrolet Cavalier with Saskatchewan licence plate 018 IPV.

He is known to frequent the Yellow Quill First Nation, Fishing Lake First Nation and Regina.

Bighead is considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
