Fox Creek Amber Alert cancelled; children located safe and unharmed

An Amber Alert issued early Saturday morning for three Fox Creek, Alta., children has been cancelled, according to RCMP.

Police said a four-year-old, three-year-old and nine-month-old were abducted from a Fox Creek residence and taken in a vehicle at around 1:30 a.m.

The Amber Alert was issued just before 5 a.m.

At around 7 a.m., RCMP said they stopped a vehicle on Highway 20 north of Sylvan Lake, and located a woman and the three children.

At 7:41 a.m., authorities cancelled the alert, saying the children had been located “safe and unharmed.” The children were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure, RCMP said in a media release Saturday afternoon.​

A woman was arrested and police said charges are pending as the investigation continues.
