Guy Street in downtown Montreal has reopened to traffic after a tractor-trailer heading south slammed into the train overpass at 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
Crews worked to remove the truck for the better part of the morning by taking air out of the tires.
“It’s a big issue. We’re pretty concern about it,” admitted Philippe Sabourin, a City of Montreal spokesperson.
Police spokesperson Manuel Couture said the overpass was inspected by Canadian Pacific Railway for any damages.
There were no reported injures, but the driver could face a fine of $200.
