A woman is facing four charges, including impaired driving, after another woman was killed in a crash Tuesday morning south of Battleford, Sask.
The fatal crash on Highway 4 near the communities of Mosquito and Red Pheasant First Nations.
The passenger side of a car heading north on the highway was struck when a westbound truck on a grid road failed to stop at a posted stop sign, Battlefords RCMP said.
A 28-year-old woman who was a passenger in the car was declared dead at the scene.
Police said her family has been notified, but are not releasing her name.
Amber Rosette, 27, is charged with dangerous driving causing death, operation of a motor vehicle causing death, impaired driving causing bodily harm, and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
She is scheduled to appear Wednesday morning in Battlefords provincial court.
Highway 4 was closed for several hours while police carried out their investigation. It has since reopened to traffic.
