The major water main break happened near the intersection of 97 Street and 112 Avenue.

Epcor says crews were called to the scene around 11:00 Monday evening and worked until 2:00 Tuesday morning to turn the water off.

Massive amounts of water flooded the surrounding streets during that three hour period.

However, the water did begin receeding quickly once the water was turned off.

Traffic wasn’t expected to be affected as commuters were heading to work Tuesday morning.
