TORONTO – Two men were killed in violent incidents in Toronto Thursday night, including one who police say was stabbed to death as he emerged from a shower during a home invasion.

Officers called to a north-end apartment building just after 9 p.m. found the 28-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police say two men had entered the apartment (near Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue West) and one of them, who was armed with a gun, demanded cash and drugs.

In a separate incident about an hour earlier, officers called to an east-end housing complex (near Old Finch Avenue and Morningside Avenue) found a 20-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
