TORONTO — YouTube announced Thursday it’s launching a Comedy Week in May, including laughs from Canadian stars Seth Rogen, Michael Cera and Norm Macdonald.
The online festival kicks off with a live stream at 8 p.m. ET on May 19 featuring stand-up, sketches and musical performances.

“This has never been done before on YouTube,” Danielle Tiedt, YouTube’s vice president of marketing, told The Associated Press on Wednesday. “I’m sure we’ll learn a lot.”
Comedy Week will include new content on some of YouTube’s popular channels and performances by comedians. Comics will also share lists of their favourite videos.
Other stars participating include Sarah Silverman, Vince Vaughn, Ricky Gervais and Andy Samberg.
