Kendra Omega Davis is now facing multiple firearm possession charges, after her boyfriend’s alleged involvement in a downtown Hamilton shooting.
Police say they were able to identify the involvement of a 2016 Nissan Altima in the Feb. 22 incident, where they say two 23-year-old men, Tyrell Edwards-Lafleur and Noah Hope, entered a home in the area of Barton Street and Balmoral Avenue to assault and rob another man.
The victim, a 26-year-old man, was shot in the chest. However, the bullet went through him and into the leg of one of the suspects, Hope, who was arrested a short time later.
Police say the Nissan Altima is registered to Kendra Omega Davis, 24, and they believe it was used to transport Edwards-Lafleur and Hope to and from the area of the shooting.
Police searched the vehicle, and say they found a loaded 9 mm handgun in a hidden compartment, leading to the arrests of Edwards-Lafleur and Davis. They are facing multiple firearm possession charges, as well as careless use of a firearm.
Edwards-Lafleur received an additional charge for violating his probation. He was already facing several charges in relation to the shooting, including attempted murder, robbery and intimidation.
