One member of the Saskatoon Blades earned recognition for his play from the Western Hockey League (WHL) on March 20.

Dawson Davidson, 20, has been named to the WHL’s Eastern Conference 1st All-Star Team.

The defenceman led the Blades with 75 points in 68 games during the 2018-19 regular season. He finished tied for most points among WHL defencemen with Moose Jaw Warriors captain Josh Brook.

The Moosomin, Sask., native also recorded the longest assist streak in the league this season with 24 assists in 15 consecutive games in his final season in junior hockey.

Saskatoon is currently getting ready for the first round of the 2019 WHL playoffs. They are up against the Moose Jaw Warriors starting on March 22 at SaskTel Centre.
