Young designer looks up to Neechie Gear

SASKATOON – Calista Geisel could be one of Saskatoon’s youngest entrepreneurs. At the age of 13, she designs, sews and sells clothing for her own line, Eternal Style.

She started three years ago as a hobby, and it grew into a passion.

Every summer, Geisel sells at festivals; she says that’s a good starting point, but would love to have her own store one day, like Kendal Netmaker, owner of Neechie Gear in Saskatoon.

Netmaker is a 25-year-old entrepreneur who started his businesses to help kids play sports.

A percentage of monthly sales are donated to the Neechie Gear Athletic Club Inc. a program designed to put together sports teams for kids who don’t get the opportunity.

He says his inspiration for his business came from his own life experiences.
