Winnipeg Animal Services looking for ‘furever’ home for 2 dogs in love

WATCH: Animal Services is looking for a special family able to give a home to K9 couple, a pair of dogs who have bonded – Mar 19, 2019

It’s almost a Disney love story, but instead of Lady and the Tramp – it’s Lady and Tiger.

Both Lady and Tiger are two dogs from a Northern community. While there, the two bonded, leaving them unable to be separated.

“They came to us almost three months ago … and the rescue that pulled them from the community actually had a special request that we get both of these dogs adopted together,” Animal Services‘ Chief Operating Officer Leland Gordon said.

The shelter is looking for a family who has a house with a big fenced-off backyard, no other animals and is willing to take in both pooches.

Gordon says the future owner don’t have to have any experience.

“We’ve had people take these dogs out who have little to no dog experience and they’re reporting that these dogs are great on a leash, they’re great with young children, they prefer to be the only dogs around and are probably house trained.”

Gordon is encouraging anyone interested in the dogs to take them on a doggy date to give it a try.

“Come on down, spend some time with Lady and Tiger and if you want to just test drive lady and tiger you can take them out on a doggy date you can take them out for the day or overnight them at your house just to try it,” he said.
