A Kelowna man has died as the result of a skiing accident.
The incident happened Monday in Glacier National Park in an area known as Young’s Peak.

The coroner’s office says Joshua Matthew Bernot, 30, was witnessed falling off a 16 metre cliff.
He died at the scene.
Bernot was optometrist who worked at Orchard Park Optometry.
He moved to the Okanagan from Illinois in 2009.
His bio says he was a volunteer at the Kelowna SPCA as a dog walker and involved in several sports.
