An alleged robbery in Paris has resulted in the arrest of a 41-year-old Brantford man.
Last Thursday night, officers were called to an Esso gas station on Dundas Street, where a man allegedly got into an altercation with an employee, before stealing some cigarettes and other items, police said.

Police located the suspect a short distance from the business and he was arrested.

During the arrest, police say an officer was assaulted and the suspect caused damage to a police cruiser.
The accused is now facing charges of assault, robbery and mischief.
