Over the following five minutes, Riley Damian would find the back of the net twice to lift the Rangers into a 3-0 lead heading into the third.

In the final period, things were all Mississauga, however.

Cole Schwindt and Keean Washkurak would score for Mississauga but Rangers’ netminder Luke Richardson would slam the door shut from that point on, making 40 saves to record the victory of 3-2 over the Steelheads.
