Alain Thibeault, 60, of La Baie, Que., is facing a charge of careless driving after the transport truck he was driving ended up in a ditch on the 401 near Napanee.
According to the Napanee OPP, the collision occurred at about 9 p.m. on Feb. 26, when the transport lost control and drove into the ditch leaking diesel fuel. The Ministry of Environment attended the scene due to the diesel leak.
Police say Thibeault was transported to hospital where he was treated for minor injuries, while the transport truck he was driving remains in the ditch near the Shannonville exit. It will be pulled out when police feel it’s safe to do so.
