Kingston-area lottery winners rake in $100K each

Picton residents Kathleen O’Donoghue and Brian Blasdale have a few more dollars to play with after winning $100,000 in the Feb. 16 Lotto 6/49 draw.

The retired couple with three children and three grandchildren say they’ll use part of their winnings to visit Australia. The couple added they’ll likely inquire about a new vehicle to replace Blasdale’s 16-year-old car.

Meanwhile, Kingston resident William Ferguson also took home $100,000. Ferguson won his prize while playing ‘Instant Cash King,’ and won on a $5 ticket purchased at the Bayridge Market in Kingston.
