Man injured in Hamilton construction accident

A man in his 60s was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a construction accident in Hamilton.

It happened just before noon on Tuesday, when the man was hit by a backhoe and fell into a trench on Marshall Avenue, in the Upper Kenilworth and King’s Forest Drive area.

Hamilton fire crews conducted a rope rescue to extricate the man from the ditch.
