TORONTO – Canadian actor Stephen Amell took to social media Saturday to declare that his mother is cancer-free.
“Here’s some fun news: My Mom beat breast cancer. Again. F**k you, cancer,” the Toronto-born star posted on Twitter and his Facebook page.
Amell, who just wrapped the first season of Arrow in Vancouver, also shared a photo in which he and his mom have their middle fingers extended.
Amell’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer last December – 25 years after her first diagnosis.
Not surprisingly, the actor has thrown his support behind the F*ck Cancer Foundation and has shown up to support fundraisers like last fall’s Boobyball for Rethink Breast Cancer in Toronto.
Amell is scheduled to host a F*ck Cancer event May 9 at a nightclub in Los Angeles.
