A warrant was issued for Tal Kalum LaRiviere, 31, a violent parolee, who killed a homeless man in Vernon, B.C., three-and-a-half years ago.

According to RCMP, the arrest warrant was issued on Feb. 2 after LaRiviere failed to meet the conditions of his release by missing curfew at his designated residence in Prince George.

He was arrested Monday afternoon in Grand Prairie, Alberta.

LaRiviere pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the beating death of Jason Hardy, 42, in Vernon’s Polson Park in August, 2015.

He was sentenced to five years in prison but only ordered to serve two years because of time already served.
